Tegan is an experienced arts manager, emerging producer and independent artist.
Having worked in the dance and visual arts sector throughout Queensland and Victoria over the past six years, Tegan has developed and produced a number of successful arts programs, events and tours, gaining vast creative, organisational and arts management experience.
Tegan has developed her professional career as the Cultural Enrichment Coordinator with Dancenorth (Townsville), assisting with the production of a range of artist development programs and several community dance projects, and as the Education and Public Programs Officer for peak regional galleries, Perc Tucker Regional Gallery and Pinnacles Gallery (Townsville). She has produced many successful arts events and programs for artists and communities including the Sculptural Festival, Strand Ephemera (2013).
Tegan started with LGI in 2017 and has been managing the day-to-day running of the company, including the coordination of company projects, tours and secondments as well as marketing and communications. She was the co-producer of LGI’s 2017 annual commissioned season of new works: Pieces for Small Spaces.
As an artist, Tegan was awarded the Dance Award at the North Queensland Arts Awards (2015) and has taught dance throughout Queensland, facilitating a number of workshops for youth and the wider community. Tegan has produced several of her own original works which have featured in festivals and galleries and include collaborations with Australian visual, sound and projection artists.
Tegan graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the Queensland University of Technology in 2007 and was an Emerging Cultural Leader mentee at the Footscray Community Arts Centre in 2018.
